Loch Ard Evening Walk

The tour departs from Port Campbell around 7pm and travels a short distance to Loch Ard Gorge within the Port Campbell National Park. This walking tour is offered each evening during the mutton bird season and takes approximately two and a half hours.

This 2km walking tour takes in the magnificent coastal scenery and natural wonders, and goes on to discover the significance of the wreck of the Loch Ard in 1878. Finally, the tour ends at Mutton Bird Island to watch the short-tailed shearwaters return in their thousands to the island just after sunset.

 

  • Walk on Loch Ard beach and to the old cemetery – immerse yourself in history
  • Walk to Island Archway/Tom and Eva’s stacks and The Razorback
  • Walk the cliff top and visit Muttonbird Island, and view the Muttonbirds (in season)

 

 

Price Range: 

The Loch Ard Evening Walk is $85 per person and is only available in season, between 15 November and 31 March. Discount rates are available for family groups and for groups of 4 to 7 persons. Tours include transport to and from Port Campbell.
